Thailand. Month 9. A bizarre month to be sure, but a good one. One team had three people and the other had four people with our two squad leaders. “And Then There Were Nine” Our squad mentor Daniel, one of our alumni squad leader Emily Quint (EQ) and our coaches with their children joined us which equaled the size our squad. Before I get to one of my favorite nights of Chiang Mai Thailand. We had PVT this month so Grace’s parents visited and Kate’s mom visited us. Loved getting to meet them and see where my team leader (Grace) gets some of her personality :). It was a blessing to have them here. Was blessed to have a REAL American breakfast. Waffles, eggs, hashbrowns, Biscuits and sausage grave!!!
Then we had debrief where we changed teams for the last time. Undefined = Grace, Alex, and Jordan. F4 Harvesters = Haley, Christazia, Me, and Jesse. Then our squad leaders Vanessa and Kate. I am excited to see what happens in these teams. This was a time of relaxation and listening to some good teaching along with good Fellowship. Rchurch (my awesome church back home) blessed my squad to be able to have an adventure day and we went to the Grand Canyon in Thailand along with Lunch. The water was amazingly warm and was just a great day. Debrief is where the Love of my Father and Jesus called me! This next season is for learning what it is like to be in Love with Him and to be Loved by Him. To know his value in me and my value in Him! It will be a lot to experience these remaining weeks. We spent the remain weeks as our new teams dreaming of what Thailand, Cambodia, and Philippines will look like, talking to monks at the temples, teaching English to little monks and just exploring the city talking to different people. Oh and having Real Cheese Burgers from Beast Burger. Then we had the best transition between countries all year by our fabulous Logistics team Jesse and Alexandria. We landed in Cambodia 03Oct2018.

Well, let us reverse to a time during PVT. We have a time of ministry and worship at one of gates of Chiang Mai (Tha Phae Gate) with the parents. We were sitting under a tree waiting for all of the squad to arrive when a woman walks up with roses. I heard God tell me to buy some for the women there. Five total for Kate, Grace, EQ, Linda (Kate’s mom), Sarah (Grace’s mom). We decided to do listening prayer to ask God to be in the ministry that evening and if there was anything specific. Linda got “not to be surprised if she gave away the rose.” I got excited! Since I as a man couldn’t just go up to women with a rose and tell them God loves them, it was awesome for these women to want to do this. Especially with the reputation this city has at night. We split up to go talk to people. Daniel and I went to prayer walk around the city gate and talk to anyone possible. When we got back and I saw the smile on Kate’s face and no rose. She had given it to a woman who at that very moment was taking a selfie with the rose. EQ and Grace started a conversation with two young women. They happened to be Christians and they came over to our group to chat and we prayed over them. It was sooo cool to see God show his love through these roses. Sarah gave hers away also and Linda gave hers to one of my squadmates. It was such a good night! Then we worshipped there at the gate. God’s love is so good. Can’t get enough of it.
