Meet David.

If I could describe him in one word it would
be…
worshipper.

I didn’t know who David was until our third month in the
Philippines. The only time I talked to him was at training camp, when I prayed
for him. I found out later that the prayer I prayed for him was a sign that he
was to continue this race. Then after team changes he ended up on my team. We
now tease and get along like brother and sister.

David is a fun guy. He says he isn’t that funny but I
find him hilarious. He loves to play computer games and listen to music.
He has a wicked skill of guitar that has grown so much on the race. I
love how he sings at the top of his lungs even though everyone can hear
him, just to worship the Lord. He can make a joke about anything, which brings incredible
laughter.

David has come from a normal Christian to a life where he
has stepped out in so much leadership. He was called to step out of his
comfort zone, which has helped him grow so much. He seeks to glorify the
Lord in everything, which is why I call him ‘worshipper’. He is a man of great integrity
that fears the Lord in his life. He fights for our
team to step out into the areas that God has gifted them. He also desires
growth for us individually which means he has to boldly call us into
that growth.

David desires to lead others into freedom that he has
experienced. One day he wants to lead teams to travel the world or just to a
deeper relationship with Christ. He also really wants to be involved in music.
Through leading worship or starting a band, he knows the Lord has given him
this gift for a reason.

This is David. My brother from another mother.
