What are you doing after the race?
As of right now God is calling me home for a year to build more meaningful relationships with my family and friends and to find a community.
Once I turn 21 I plan to apply for a 9 month discipleship program called G42 in Spain. 6 of the months will be learning and then 3 of the months will be me back on the field!
After the school in Spain I would like to go to college, and I’m hoping God will shine light on my calling.
-Some things I am looking into right now to possibly study is dance and becoming a choreographer. Art is a huge part of my life and I would love to study it more. I also have thoughts on owning a business! So who knows?!
Who is your favorite teammate?
…..
Hardest thing about travel days?
Everybody is usually really quiet and to themselves, so I feel like I have to be quiet also!
What has been an experience you won’t forget?
Taking 6 hours to hike up a volcano!!
What has been the weirdest things a Myanmar person has asked you?
Why are you so fat? Are you tired because of weight loss?
Would you recommend the race to a senior in high school?
I would absolutely recommend the race. Coming out of high school its hard to know who you really are and what you want to do with the rest of your life. Going on this trip with give you the opportunity to see the world for what it is and to be able to depend on God to find your true identity and purpose!
What is your favorite and most difficult thing about living with your team?
My favorite thing about this team is how we became instantly close as soon as we met and can talk about literally anything even if one of our main topics is poop! The difficult thing is that we are very comfortable and that can get in the way of building each other up sometimes.
Do you miss your friends at home?
Absolutely, but I am a little scared to go back home and become who I was with my friends before I left for the race. I hope to stay true to the identity I’ve found here while still maintaining those relationships.
Who is one person you’ve met at ministry that’s impacted you the most?
The old peoples home in Guatemala! I cant choose just one person there, because they all were amazing. They taught me so many things and how to enjoy life even when your’e a little old!
What has been your favorite country food wise?
Thailand, because we have had more opportunities to eat traditional food! The dumplings make me really happy!
What’s the weirdest food you have eaten?
Some of the food in Myanmar is weird but I can’t explain what it really is, so i’ll have to say Ostrich!
