Yesterday our squad boarded our flight and left Japan. It felt weird to leave Japan for so many reasons. Living with host homes again was one of my favorite experiences. Living in someone’s home gives the capacity for relationship that no other scenario gives. I love it, but, like so so many times before, it came time to say goodbye. With tears in our eyes, we boarded our flight to Malaysia. As our plane landed and I took in the scenery from outside my window, I knew this month would be very different. Even just the vegetation was different than anything we had seen before. Something shifted in the atmosphere as our plane touched down here in Malaysia. I’m not quite sure what it was, but God is up to big things. We will spend the next four days here in Kuala Lumpur for debrief before heading off again for this month’s ministry. My team, Team Righteous Oaks, will be traveling to the city of Kulim (cool-leam). It is in the northwest part of Malaysia. There my team will be partnering with the local Vineyard Community Church pastored by a man named Mark Shan. It is an independent pentacostal church there off the coast whose vision is to rach out to the Indian people group living nearby. He has been ministering there for the past 14 years, and our team is really excited to partner with what he is doing there. While working with the Vineyad Community Church there in Kulim, we will have a plethora of amazing opportunities to minister to the locals.  Here are just a few way that we will be used this month:

We also conduct music classes (Indian classical music & Western music).

 1. We will have the opportunity to work in the children school in Kulim.
2. We will host prayer meetings and prayer walks.
3. We will get to visit hospitals.

4. We will have the opportunity to love on the children in the orphanage home.
5. We will minister to those in the Vineyard congregation.

6. We wil lead praise and worship.

7. We will get to join in on the English classes that are currently in session.
8. Christmas Carolling! 🙂
9. We will get to participate in their cultural Christmas celebration !

10. We will also have the opportunity to preach and share our testimonies!

While the ministry this month sounds great, I know it will not come without its challenges.  Malaysia, as I have already seen huge evidence of in the 12 hours of being here, is primarily an Islamic nation. Since we will be in an area of mostly indigenous people (Orang Asli), outreach will be tough. Althought this is not a ‘Closed Country’ it is illegeal to witness to the Orang Asli.  This being said, I know God has us in this place for a reason! Please partner with us in praying for favor, open hearts, and open doors to share God’s kingdom with those in desperate need. He can open those widows of opportunities! So let’s join in with him and start praying and declaring over our team, our ministry contacts, and the hearts of everyone we come in contact with! Thank you!
