Hello there!

Consider this a virtual hug from Nashville, Tennessee. I’m glad you’re here, and taking the time to read=] I’d like to share with you why I’m going on The World Race next year! In order to do so, I need to back up a bit.

I first heard about this incredible ministry opportunity called The World Race from my cousin (shout out Brittani:), who served on the race herself and delighted me with all of her insightful stories. I heard about serving people who have never gotten a chance to know about Jesus, living side-by-side with other 20 and 30-somethings in rich community, and getting to experience the world through the eyes of The Father. Needless to say, I’ve been STOKED about the race for years. And have actually been praying about it for about five years now.

So five years have passed by: Well, first I served with Adventures in Missions (the organization behind WR) in India. Then I decided to go back to school, which came with a move- Heeyyyy Tennessee! Well, after an internship at Vanderbilt and some incredible opportunities, I left school while getting pretty involved in the creative arts. Eventually, I decided to start my own company and VOILÀ-enter pandemic 2020.

I am grateful for each and every experience I’ve walked through, and excited for my business to take off later, or see what else God has in store. But for now- right now- it’s time to serve the nations. My heart has always been for serving those marginalized or overlooked, specifically in parts of the world different from my own. I’m ready to explore cultures, dive deeper in the Word, and build relationships all over the world.

In the most uncomfortable, radical, funny circumstances I hope you’ll come on this journey with me!

Blessings and Favor,

Shelby B. Sly
