Hi!
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit our blog and getting to know us! My wife Anna and I (Seth) live in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I work in Orthopedics for a large health system while Anna is an Oncology nurse.
In Minneapolis, we love our church home of Cedar Valley Church, where we serve in their kids ministry. This church has been a true blessing to us and we are thankful for the launching pad that they have been in our heart for missions. We have also been YoungLife leaders in Edina, Minnesota for a few years and are very passionate about the ministry that is happening there!
A little about Anna (written by Seth)
Anna is an unbridled bundle of joy. She lights up a room with her personality and smile and has an over-sized, compassionate heart. She challenges me every day in every way to be a better man as I see how she lives and loves. If she isn’t found at the hospital, CorePower Yoga, or your local thrift shop, she is probably taking in the sun or reading. She loves being “sporty” and cheering on her alma mater, the Wisconsin Badgers. She runs marathons for fun and loves her Bible studies, hosting parties, and spending time with her Young Life girls.
Anna is intentional, determined, and very intelligent. She loves babies and puppies and I love seeing these things light her sensitive heart up. Her heart for the Lord is immense and makes me so humbled to be her husband. I am excited to see the Lord use her in her natural environment, serving, while we are on the Race.
A little about Seth (written by Anna)
Seth brings a contagious spirit with him wherever he goes. He loves with his whole heart and desires to connect with people on a deep level. He is thoughtful, intentional and genuine. I am so blessed to be his wife. He loves sports, both playing and watching. He played lacrosse in college, but his first love is basketball – or is it football? You can often find him listening to Planet Money podcasts, conducting in-depth fantasy football research, joining me at yoga, and spending his summers on Spirit Lake wake-boarding with the family.
He holds a Master’s in Healthcare Administration and has a heart to see all patients deeply cared for while engineering better systems to do so. He is a natural born leader and this is evident in his ministry to his small group of 10th grade Younglife boys. He is a talented, driven dreamer who desires to see change and growth in himself and in the world.
Why the World Race?
Both of us have had the Lord put a burning desire within us to live radically and find ways that we can continue to serve and grow our relationships with the Lord. We are excited to let him use us and see what it is like to be the Church globally. We can’t wait to spend the next year on the Race in intentional ministry while being able to give the Lord our undivided attention and watch him work!
