I recently totalled up how much money I’ve raised over the past 2.5 years and it comes to about $35,000!!
Perspective is our firstfruits
Wherever we choose to place our firstfruits is where the rest of our fruits follow. Our perspective is one of those firstfruits.
Here’s a real-life example: I have been raising funds for a little over two and a half years now. I recently totalled up what I’ve raised and it comes to about $35,000! That’s pretty incredible to me! God has provided in some really amazing ways and I haven’t lacked any good thing. However, I’m faced, yet again, with a fundraising situation. I still need to raise $6,000 in little over a month. To be honest, when I look to that number and the time frame I have, I feel anxious.
You see, my perspective is on what I “lack” instead of what I have. I can be tempted to put my firstfruits in the wrong basket and my other fruit, my feelings, follow. Instead, when I look to what I have, a God who has always provided where He’s called and to whom money is no object, I feel peace and assurance. The firstfruits of my perspective went to God and the other fruit, my feelings, followed.
So I’m choosing to place my perspective on my loving, heavenly Father and watch the fruits of provision, feelings, and future fall into their rightful place!
Perspective is our firstfruits.
This is one of the many things I’ve been learning to a greater extent at G42; the leadership academy I’m attending (the link to their website). I hope you were able to share with me in this revelation that was birthed from class last semester. If you enjoyed it, I ask that you consider partnering with me however Spirit leads-prayer, sharing encouragement of what He’s doing, financial support (link to my fundraising page below), sharing this message with others, etc. Thanks for following and supporting my journey! Have a fantastic day!
