This month… What can I say about Cambodia? Well it was for sure hot…and FULL of things to learn.
Our ministry this month was focused on teaching English at a local primary (grade four and down) school. But I’ll be the first to admit that teaching did NOT end up being my “focused” ministry. To be fully honest I wasn’t feeling to hot about working with the kids this month, which isn’t normally like me. I love the kids that I have been able to work with.
But the Lord did showed me why I wasn’t feeling that ministry. It’s because that wasn’t my main focus this month. My main ministry this month was me…
I had been pushing some things to the side, one of which was my prayer life, which I wrote about in a past blog. I was also dealing with issues related to plain ol’ homesickness. I missed home and I was in a country where I didn’t feel I was being filled up my the ministry. But as the Good Lord ALWAYS does, He provided.
We were given a good bit of time off this month due to holidays and the kids being out of school. Just what I needed right when I needed it. Time to minister to myself. Time to work things out between the Lord and me. Time to think and reflect. Time to process and move on.
Turns out this month is probably the most important month of my Race so far. I don’t have awesome picture or stories of ministry or off days to show like other months. What I do have to show is a REJUVENATED SOUL!
Thank yall. As always be continuous prayer for my squad, my leadership, my team, and me.
God Bless
