Hey everybody! I know it’s been a little while since my last post. Our schedule has been crazy busy! We had our mid-point debrief in Siem Reap on January 14-21 then we came back to Phnom Penh for a couple of days. After that, we headed back to Siem Reap to meet some friends from an 11n11 squad to fellowship with them and we got back 3 days ago. I wanted to make this post and let y’all know how you could be praying for me, my team, and my squad.
How you can be praying for me:
- With the Corona virus being a threat, we have been quarantined to our community. So that means we won’t be able to leave our community for anything until this is lifted. That could keep us here until we fly to Africa. This has been stressing me out a lot! My cash supply is running out and I don’t know when I will be able to make it to an ATM. I am just worried that we won’t get out of our community until it is time to leave Cambodia. So please pray that peace would fill me because my first nature is to worry when I know I need to trust God in this!
- Please be praying for comfort for me when we leave our ministry. I have grown deep relationships with these children and our hosts! Just thinking of leaving them brings tears to my eyes. Please be praying that I would find comfort in the Lord when saying my goodbyes to them in 3 weeks.
How you could pray for my team:
- Unity within our team is something I have been praying for us. We all love each other deeply, but when it comes to wanting to be with each other we all have people on other teams we would rather be with. So I think we need to see that our team was especially selected by the Lord and choose each other everyday!
- Please pray for energy, we love the work we do with the studentseveryweek. However, the planning and preparing everything takes a lot of our energy. When it comes to putting the plan into action, we find that the room full of 6 year olds don’t pay attention like we hope they would. Working with these kids has been such a joy and so fulfilling, but we want to be able to be enthusiastic EVERYTIME we see them! So please just pray for the tiredness to go away!
How you could be praying for the whole squad:
- We have had a lot of sickness within our squad over the last couple of weeks. Some have the Flu, and some have a parasite. Please be praying for health for our whole squad. I would love to see our squad finish Cambodia strong!
