Hello!!!! We have officially spent our first week in Nicaragua! We are staying in Ometepe Island for the next fews weeks, At CICRIN Orphanage, and so far it has been incredible! This last week, most of our time has been spent serving or ministry host by helping with chores and project around the campus in the morning, and then playing games with the kids in the afternoon!
Aside from meeting the beautiful children that CICRIN serves, my highlight from this past week, was getting the chance to serve our hosts by helping prune trees at their plantain farm! It was so fun swinging around a machete and chopping branches, but during all that excitement I forgot to put on sunscreen and got a little burnt 🙁 but a few of my team mates and I found an Exotic fruit near the house that we thought might help!
