Hello! I’m so glad you’re here! So let me introduce myself, my name is Liz Choquette, I’m 21, and I’m just starting my last semester of college at the State University of New York at Oswego. I am majoring in Criminal Justice and have a minor in Photography, I’m super passionate about both of these things (especially photography).
I’ve got several things that I love to do in my free time. I’ve been figure skating for about twelve years now and it has really taught me discipline with practicing what I need to practice. I have also done synchronized skating for a few years which I love because I get to work with the rest of my team to improve our skills and make some pretty awesome friendships!
Hiking is also a pretty big part of my life; I live in upstate New York which is only a couple hours away from the Adirondack Mountains. When I was in middle school I set out to climb all 46 high peaks in the Adirondacks and completed it in 2018. Hiking up 46 mountains was crazy! But I loved how much of an adventure every one was.
I am so excited to be able to strengthen my relationship with God and build relationships with others through this missions trip to Africa. I have really felt God calling me to be brave and go into a place I normally would never go to share his mercy with others. I would love if anyone reading this could pray for me and everyone else who is going on this trip that we will stay safe and spread God’s love with as many people as we can 🙂
