Anywaaaay.
I’m Allyson Perez. I was born and raised in beautiful Northern California. A couple of months after graduating high school, I ditched the North for that good ol’ southern air. That’s right! I went to Los Angeles! Call me crazy, but I love LA. It is home to me. I became my own person there and met my dearest friends. (I’m sure you will catch a few of their names in later blogs). Unfortunately, after three laughter-filled years my time in LA came to an end when God called me to actually move to the south. So, here I am in a half empty apartment in Nashville, TN. I moved to Nashville to finish my education in the music industry. In the past few years I have been a front of house engineer, an assistant tour manager, a production assistant, and a monitor engineer. All of this to say, I’m a professional cable wrapper (over-under, my good friends!).
2020 was the year of perspective, right? It was the first, and only, year where everyone was going to see clearly. What did we see? We saw a broken world attempting to be unified in many unforeseen hours of need.
2020 may not have been what I expected and I can assure you that 2021 will not be either. I’m taking a leap. I’m stepping out of the boat to walk on water. I’m selling it all and following Jesus. It is a challenge I am certain will take my breath away. But, my story is just beginning to be written. How do you feel about seeing and learning more?
