Hi!  Thank you for visiting my World Race page!  I hope that you
will subscribe and/or check back often for super awesome updates as
I plan and prepare to embark on this completely amazing mission
adventure in January of 2011!  Time is flying by and I will be squeezing all that I can into my backpack before I know it.  Eek!

So, this is home base (just like in baseball but totally
different)…where you can see the world through my experiences on the
field.  I will go ahead and say that I am no blogger and will be
referring to this as my flog (faux blog), BUT I will do my very best to
give you a glimpse into the life of a World Race member, the mission
experience and the world through my words as well as my camera lens.  I
hope that you will share this journey with me and most importantly pray
for me, my team and the ministry that we’ll be doing in the 11 countries
that we will be visiting.  I really cannot eloquently express the
excitement that I am feeling about the opportunity that lies ahead.
There is great anticipation, that I do know!

I came into this a little late and the process, for me, has pretty
much resembled a dvd in fast forward…at 16 or 32x speed.  Honestly,
the being away, the apprehension that some may feel and any other
feelings of reservation have just not hit…yet, and may not ever.
Fingers crossed, they don’t.  At this point, I’m just making lists,
checking things off and replacing the accomplishments with three more
things to do in their places.    I find it hard to slow my mind at
night so I usually drift to sleep by reading blogs of teams currently
racing.  The anticipation is exhilarating!  I look forward to meeting my
squad in just a few weeks and learning more specifics about the trip.
I’m also pumped to try out new gear.

Aside all of the fantastic excitement about the trip, challenges,
culture, etc that are swirling, it’s the bottom line that a team of
strangers (momentarily) is about to meet and mold together, travel to
the other side of the world and share the love of God with the least,
lost and forgotten.  Change is before us and we will be apart of it.
That is awesome and amazing.  My soul delights in the mere thought of
it.  I know that the experience will shape me into a brand new person.
It is impossible to go into the world, do the things we’ll do, see the
things we’ll see and not be changed.  God is awesome and I want to share
the hope that is Him to those that do not know.  Serving others is at
the very core of my faith.  To love is to serve.

If you want to know a little more about me, you can click on the
handy “about” option to the left.  No sense repeating that here.

I can’t wait to share The World Race with you.  I am already grateful for your support and prayers.

Until the next flog…

peace~
