Month one of round two is underway. My new squad, T-Squad, and I arrived in Ishinomaki, Japan three days ago. We arrived to the first snowfall of the year and quickly watched it melt away.

We have already begun ministry this month and what an incredible opportunity it is. We are working with a small Church in this city. The Church is run out of a cafe with an English school up above where we sleep on the floor.

The opportunities are abundant. The town was wrecked by tsunamis in its recent past. The clean-up is over but the people are still broken over it and all they lost, which allows for awesome moments to love on the people we come into contact with. In addition, we help the Church by teaching English in their cafe to bring in business and build relationships. We will be hosting concerts, movie nights, and English camps for kids over the next two and a half weeks and these things are just the start of what we have going on.

My new squad is awesome, and I have loved getting to know them in this short time. Simply put, be in prayer for us. These first few months, for most, are large steps in learning to trust the Lord in greater amounts than they ever have. I left the first few months of my race with freedom I had never known before and have been in prayer that this squad would get to experience that same thing.

I also ask for prayers over our ministry host. That people would be attracted into their cafe where they would encounter God and the love He has for them. Prayer for open hearts and divine encounters with the people of Japan.

Finally, a quick thank you to all of my friends and family who have supported this mission God has called me to. I am fully funded for this round!!!
