As I am writing this, a woman just walked in with a shirt that says, “No one reads your f***ing blog.” So that is kind of discouraging…but hey thanks to all of YOU for reading mine!

This month we are in Tirana, Albania working with a pastor whose passion is prison ministry, discipleship, and the youth.

We are revamping a space that used to be used for Sunday church services. Instead of church we are designing a space for the youth to hangout in. We are dreaming up paint colors, ambiance features, and functionality, with a little bit of pizazz.

It is our hope to get the space ready in the next two weeks so we can spend our last week of ministry hosting events for the local youth. Think: GaMeZ, MoViEz, KaRaOkE and all sorts of fun things!

We will also be spending our month building relationships with people. Our host literally wants us to sit in coffee shops and meet people. What a dream right? We might look like slightly desperate American’s but we need to make friends wherever we go? Challenge accepted.

Our goal from the words of our host, “We need attractive girls to make church look attractive.” LOL

Side note: Emily and I joined a gym to get fit and make more connections but we underestimated how intimidating a gym is when it is packed with buff Albanian dudes…so plan B?

Anyways, Albania is beautiful and we are living in the downtown area. We have mountain views AND we are 25 minutes from the coast so I’m not sure life gets any better than this.

This month, it looks like we will be eating a lot of pizza, asking the random cashier at the market to hangout (actually though), and drinking at least 4 cups of coffee a day so cheers to that ??

Also, on our way to Albania we had a short, overnight layover in Rome!
