March 24th 2017: Nkhata Bay Prison
This is a poem presented to our team by a prisoner and a friend on our last day of ministry in Malawi. His primary language is Chichewa but he wrote it down and presented it to us in English. Though it’s broken english, some parts don’t make complete sense and he gets our names wrong, I personally love this poem.
I Give You Only Jesus
I give you only Jesus, yes I give you only Jesus
Now I am here to give you only Jesus.
The approminant message I vacant to you, is accord only Jesus.
My fellow brothers and sisters, ought you hear, and receive this wonderful my special gift, that is only Jesus.
Is he who give you only, the everlasting life.
Is only he gave us the daily love, mercy, grace, peace and joyfuly.
I give you only Jesus.
So, while you go back to out Malawi
Yes, while you are still on the way.
Yar, if somebody ask you that, with whom are you? (Kenan) — “Caleb”
Maayer “Mariah”, and you Phillip please, just ought answer him or her that, we are with Jesus.
Here I stand to give you only Jesus.
Yes I give you only Jesus.
Means that ever you can go, or ever you are, please be with Jesus all the time.
May the Lord Jesus, his grace, peace, love must on you forever.
Yes I give you only Jesus, Is only he gave us the mealture love, without any henthious, or without any ambiquency, but only internal for all.
I give you only Jesus, yes I am say again that I give you only Jesus.
