WELCOME TO MY BLOG!

Which immediately brings me to my first point. Or rather, my first two points. The first is that I really enjoy writing and being able to express emotion and different thoughts in the medium that is the written word. So thank you bold letters, CAPITALIZATION, and the ability to go back and edit what you’ve written. That doesn’t work as well in real conversation unfortunately.

The second point being that I have a blog. Why? Well thank you for asking. I am about to embark on an amazing journey and opportunity. It’s called The World Race and through it, I will be visiting 11 different countries over the course of 11 months. (And if you would like more information click on the “What Is The World Race” tab to the left.)

That’s almost a year! That’s insane! And yet, I don’t feel like it’s insane.

I did. For a while I was a little concerned that maybe I was losing it. I have a lot going for me right here in the comforts of home. Do I really want to leave that? Do I really want to leave my friends and family for a year?

Yes I absolutely do. (Sorry mom.)

I want to go see lives changed. I want to be a part of that change. I want Jesus to change my perspective and for Him to show me His people as He sees them, not as I see them. I want to see how the love of Christ can heal and transform broken pieces into shining masterpieces.

So if you are interested in following my journey as I go into the world to minister and be ministered to then you are in the right place. Yes, right here. This is where all of the important information will be. (If you’re looking for the other stuff, the more silly stuff, you’ll have to look me up on my various social media platforms.)

If you would like to know how you can support me there are two main ways.

Prayer.

It makes a difference and I will be needing it. You can pray for the financial side of things (this trip costs more than $15,000). You can pray for chemistry between team members. You can pray for boldness as we share the light of Jesus with people. You can pray for safe travels. You can pray that lives will be changed.

That should be a good starting point I think.

Another way to support is with your finances. As I said above, this is an expensive trip. I believe that God is calling me on this trip and where God calls He will provide. So while I am not concerned about being able to raise the money, I would still appreciate your support. I will have fundraising letters put together and sent out in the near future but you can also click to the left on the “Support Me” tab to donate to my trip.

I am very excited to be embarking on this journey and I look forward to seeing lives changed. My own included.
