Our Expectations on the World Race
We expect it to be very hard- to literally have to die to self daily like we are called to and give up our comforts. We expect to eat nasty food sometimes, to sleep on hard floors in our tent sometimes, to have a difficult time getting enough married people time, and to feel completely inadequate often.
We expect to be challenged spiritually, physically, and emotionally!
From previous mission trips we have learned that a key in missions you HAVE to have is FLEXIBILITY. There will be lots of times when the schedule is way off, or maybe there isn’t a schedule and we have to make it up as we go.
There will be tons of times when we feel inadequate- and that is hard! But- that is how we learn to depend on the Lord and when we give Him the credit for ALL that He has done! In our weakness He is strong! Think this is a daily lesson in missions!
Expect God to show up and show off! J Expect to see Him move in miraculous ways and to draw people to Himself!
Expect to be broken constantly and to be being molded constantly by Jesus! Expect to grow together in our marriage and with our team!
Expect to be held accountable and to learn to take rebukes and bring them to the Lord and let Him change what needs to be changed in us-and trust me….there is A LOT!
Expect to come back with a group of brothers and sisters who we will have as prayer warriors and family forever.
We expect this trip to be Exciting, Scary, Stretching, Awesome, and to come back as people who know how to completely surrender to Him!
