Alleigh is a super special person.

She has probably lived more lives in her 20-odd years than I will ever live in my however many years.

She comes off like a person who just goes with the flow, and isn’t always the easiest to figure out – although if you bring up anything you’ve ever done or thought of doing or read about you will likely hear her own narrative of her having done it.

She’s a number 7 on the Enneagram. So don’t misunderstand. She is just dying to share all the things – because her tenacious character can’t bear not getting out there and doing all the things. So she has. And she’d love to share about it.

Alleigh is also one of the best listeners I’ve met.

I say that because she holds herself back a lot.

She is a person who lives out showing that perhaps there is something she doesn’t know. And she is willing to conceive of your reality and put hers aside while you are talking.

Alleigh knows how to ask really good questions.

She tries to be intentional – and that means that she will often make abrupt and odd decisions. But there is always a reason – and half the time…or maybe 95% of the time they will not be for the reason you think.

Alleigh is more selfless than you think she is.

She is more willing than you think she is.

She isn’t a push over and she isn’t pushy, but Alleigh lives as she believes to the best of her ability. And when she is faced with the reality of situations she puts herself in, or when she faces the unexpected, she is easily flustered.

Alleigh is the person who will pray with you in the bathroom, laugh hysterically (in her case silently but frozen, mouth open, hand halfway to her mouth cupped like a beauty queen, eyes half shut) over something too silly to ever repeat – and that makes no logical sense, will climb on top of a parked vehicle to be visible to passerby’s, run to catch someone she thinks she should talk with when she is the one with pneumonia, make awkward narration when she realizes she is being photographed – while posing as if she doesn’t know, and stay up late into the night because you asked her to – and she wants to be there for you – when she is actually too exhausted for words.

Alleigh is not a person who you can ever say, “Oh yea. I know Alleigh!” Because there is always more.

This past week has been super meaningful for me.

I can’t share the full story yet, but I got to spend time with my team at an alumni’s house and got to know him and his family.

And I got to feel the gravity and importance of being intentional with my words, my time, and my timing.

I felt the need to listen better, to choose better, and to continue pressing into living out the things I actually believe in.

Sometimes this comes because of hard situations. You have to face things and decide to continue or to press in more.

It has been good and hard all at the same time.

Also, I got to see God move and act in powerful ways. And I was privy to that because of peoples bold courage in the face of fear.

When I can, I will certainly share with you!

Currently it is someones active and painful story – and I have to respect that and wait to see how and when I can share it!

.

Our team got to reach out to the neighbors, pray with some of them, invite them for a bonfire night at our hosts, we got to go into the mall and pray with people, have conversations, and leave notes of encouragement and scripture in dressing rooms and in merchandise, we got to go out and meet and talk with and pray for homeless on the street, as well as meet up and have some deep and meaningful conversations with WorldRace Alumni here in Seattle WA (shoutout to Zach, Anthony, Selah, Micaela, Jason, and Wendy!), we got to hike with our host family and invite a new brother into it as well (shoutout to Aaron!), and we got to learn how to invite people into our space and enter into others spaces as we navigate our new all girl team.

.

YES.

Four new WorldRace Alumni joined our team two weeks ago and we are now at 14 people! We have just met a week ago and prayerfully switched it up and are on different teams now!

That means that our current budget (we are not fully funded as a whole yet! Although a few individuals on our team are funded currently!) for our original 9 is being used by 14 of us!

We need people – and want to invite people – to partner with us this year to continue going around America until the end of November. We want you to come with us in your prayers and for your money to support us as we meet other people where they are and as we serve them and encourage them, stirring them up to walk fully in the life God is calling us all to have in Him!

It has been one of the most incredible (good &hard) and fruitful seasons of seeing what God can do with a simple ‘yes!’ from a group of people willing to do what hasn’t been done before.

We are now in our 7th month of traveling the States in America, seeing His faithfulness and faithfully living out our callings as followers of Jesus as best we know how as we continue growing, and we need YOUR help to finish well.

So, my question to you is this:

Would you give us your ‘yes’ to partnering with us in our work to build the Kingdom of God?

Even a $10 donation is a powerful investment to help us finish these last 5 incredible months fully funded. We need your partnership to reach our financial goal, and have about a month left to make that happen!

I’m believing for a miracle! You can click on any of my teammates to the left of this screen and hit “Donate” at the top to donate towards our work this year. As you can see I am fully funded – but the team goes as a team, and presently we have just a few weeks left of financing.

Thank you for taking the time to read this! Feel free to message or email me if you have any questions or want to hear more.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for partnering with me to make disciples in our Nation and bring heaven to earth in the USA!

Our Squad mentor Teresa McMillan wrote about our trip:

Wanna “count the costs” and go on WR America?

Missions isn’t different in America…we’re different.

We seem to be bolder in other countries but we need to, in the words of Lecrae, “come back home and boss up.” ??

The “costs” could be not looking cool, going against social norms or bringing truth in a relative culture.

But WHAT IF YOU COULD CHANGE the CULTURE?

Our first #WRAmerica squad is doing just that.

They are in Month 7 of the first ever WR America and they are impacting lives one after the other. They are the forerunners…the blaze-trailers, that paved the way for the 2nd WR America squad of 40 to head out starting next January!

Do you want to be one of those 40?

Sign up now! https://www.worldrace.org/routes/january2020-america/

If you can’t go, but wanna give, you can go here:

If you can’t go or give, share this post to help spread the word!

If you can’t go, give, or know how to share this post…pray for the two teams that are out now. Pray for revival in America. Pray for all of us to be fully alive in our Kingdom calling.

Thank you. ?? #11n11 #theworldrace #worldrace#worldracegapyear
