Here i am at my next ministry location thinking about how fast time goes… im on my 4th month. Last month on the ranch was so good for me to get time with my team and focus on God. We cleared a field and helped the beard family get the time they needed for their ministry. Im forever thankful for them. They made us feel right at home! So here we are transitioning to a new place, new ministry, and more people. I was nervous for the transition to the new place due to all the political riots going on here… ojojona was 45 min away from the city were all the riots/road blocks where happening and we had to drive to the city to get to our next ministry. I had faith God would get us there safely and he did exactly that. Dont worry though by the time you read this thing will have died down and will have return to normal. Honduras has been on top of things keeping everyone safe by making a curfew that you can no longer be outside at 6 pm. Mom and dad just to clairify im alive and well!
Transitioning to a new ministry was a little tough for me. I was used to living with just 4 others and to endless space when we needed quiet time. We know live in a house with 30 other people and the only quiet time you getis when you put your head phones in and close your eyes. I used to be a introvert at home and since the race its changed alot but since being here it comes out every now and then. The enemy quickly tried to fill my heads with lies and i started to get major anxiety. Thinking about how our tean will no longer be close, no one will wanna hangout with me, that ill be a loner here. But the lord has shown me that im here for him. Not for those around me.
So what am i doing here this month? I am working at a special needs orphanage doing projects and interacting with the residents. Its been a cool change because the people that live in the orphanage most are adults and some are children so its been cool being able to work with a different age group. Day one we sang christmas carols and had a party with them and it was great to see them laugh! Honestly the sweetest people ive worked with! We have also been organizing their yarn they use to knit/crochet to make money for the orphanage. We are also painting to make the place look more inviting so they can get more volunteers. Its been a good month so far and i just wanna thank you guys for your patience due to lack of wifi! Miss you all!
