Eyeglass clinics. Since arriving here we were told that we’d be helping out with eyeglass clinics. In the back of my mind I was wondering what in the world I could possibly do to help out in that capacity. Well, God brought us here to help and that we’ve been doing. What is an eyeglass clinic? Great question. Our contact has a few eye doctors that he works with and he buys tons and tons of eyeglasses and they go to churches in villages and do free eye exams and share the Gospel. It’s a pretty sweet deal.

The first clinic Jennilee, Chandler, and I went to help out. As the people arrived for their eye exams church members shared the Gospel with them one-on-one. A few people came to Christ! Then they would get their eyes checked and be given their free glasses. Then as they left we took a picture with them. We made it fun for them. Then the church offered to print the pictures and give it to them at the Sunday service. So many of the babushkas were excited to have pictures of us which was getting their feet in the door. Because they wanted the photos they voluntarily came to church which is an amazing ministry.
So we got to be and get to be models. We smile and take photos. All for the glory of God’s Kindgom.
