One night I got in a taxi and began to have pain in my legs. It felt like burning and needles all over my legs. I got the sense that it had significant spiritual significance. My team prayed over me and I declared that the enemy couldn’t have the night, since we had dinner and Team Time following dinner. I made it through both, but with significant discomfort and pain. The following morning, I woke up and still had pain, but I felt that I was supposed to walk on the beach, as part of routine, when I woke up, despite the pain. So after getting up and getting ready for the walk, my teammate, Breanna and I set off for the beach. We walked even further than our normal 3 mile route and spent time taking pictures on the beach (which we seldom do). On our way back, we ran into a young girl and I felt the Lord telling me to talk to her about writing. I found out that she loves to write, especially about adventure and as I poured into her, the pain in my legs subsided. Sometimes, the pain you feel has less to do with you and more to do with what God desires to do through you. I’m not sure what the Lord has planned for the young girl. (I imagine it must be a lot, if the enemy was willing to take me through 12 hours of pain, in effort to keep me from talking to her.) I’m just thankful, that I got to be used as a small piece of encouragement in the process.
