God has been moving like crazy here in Guatemala! It's been about two weeks since I last blogged, so this post will be a bit of a hodge podge of all that's been going on.

Last week, my team worked with a local church to paint an alcohol rehabilitation center that they are starting. It was so cool to get to know Pastor Brady and the other people who desire to see people in the area break free from their addictions. Communication was hard because of the language barrier, but we were still able to communicate some things and enjoy each other's company. Our team was able to bond a lot and learn more about each other on this ministry site, as well.
Sage and Abby, doing the best job ever at painting letters.

We also got to visit Pastor Brady's church last Sunday.

Along with painting, my team has been able to visit the hospital several more times. In my last blog, I talked about the little girl who only had a couple of days to live who we got to visit with and pray for. A week and a half later, she was doing better! She was moved to a different room, and you could visibly see that she was stronger than the last time I saw her. We prayed for her again. Then, after the weekend, we went back to the hospital. Her grandma had her wrapped up and was carrying her on her back! Just two weeks ago, this little girl was far too fragile and weak to be carried. I am so excited about how God is working in the hospital. I know that he will continue to bring healing to the people here.
I don't have a picture of the little girl who is gaining her strength back, but here is a picture of Catarina, another patient who I am absolutely in love with.

One day last week, my team went to a church about an hour away to paint. We didn't think very much of what we were doing, because painting didn't seem to be that big of a deal to us. When we arrived at the church though, there were probably about 20 local people there to greet us. They even gave us Cokes and cookies before we started. Once it was time for lunch, they brought us fresh corn on the cob. When we finished painting, they prayed over us and we prayed over them. They even started to weep when we were leaving. We only spent one day with them, and they conveyed the love of Christ to us like crazy. It was so encouraging to my team. We were supposed to be loving on and ministering to them, and they ended up loving and  ministering to us.

Here is my team with some of the people from the village with their newly painted orange walls.

God is doing incredible things here in Guatemala. God is teaching me so much about who He is and who I am in Him. I only have one more week here and then I will be heading to El Salvador! It's crazy how quickly this month has gone by.
