During the middle of the month we got an email that said change is coming, and the change would be team changes. My team and I have spent the past 6 months together and we are all happy that we ended with the month and ministry that we did but it is still hard to realize that you will no longer be with them everyday. I can not explain how blessed I am by their friendships and how we all pushed each other to new heights during this time as a team and I thought as this blog will be my last one about Daughters of Peace/ Selah I want to spend a little time talking about each of them and what they have done for me and what they can offer to their new teams!
So I am going to start with Audrey. I realized very fast that her child like heart was unlike anyones I have ever met. She always sees the positive in a situation and want to just laugh and have a good time, but when she realizes that you are not walking in your full potential she will push you higher. She is also so observant about the little things that can really challenge you as a person and make you think about some hard stuff, but she always pushes you in a way that will bring you closer to God and glorify Him. Thanks for always touching the bugs with me and petting all the dogs and just being willing to go adventure for animals with me!
Lyndie is special to me we even have matching tattoos which says a lot. She is a strong women who is confident in what she says and has so much wisdom to share. I remember when we shared a tent at training camp and we talked about our past missions experiences and I knew she would be a good friend just by the way she talked and carried herself. Her ability to lead with vulnerability is also something that is amazing and something that most people want to follow. I really can not explain how close I have become with her, she is a blessing to me and I can not wait to see how our relationship grows.
Now Hillarie is probably one of the few people who I love to hug which is strange even to her because she knows I am not a physical touch person, but I just love her. I have never met someone who is so set on a life for the Lord and just wants to spend time with Him and obey what He tells her. She wants to live an adventurous life and it so cool to see that she will because she knows that is what the Lord wants her to do. I love her free and crazy spirit but also her ability to say what needs to be said and she always has good things to say. Also if you ever want to be challenged by just a few questions then simply ask her and she will blow your mind by what she asks. I have also enjoyed trying random bakery foods with her, it has been an interesting time with what we get!
Allison has a spirit of God in her that is on fire for the Lord and a heart for missions. I remember meeting her and seeing the joy of the Lord and living with her has just been a crazy fun blessing. Her testimony can also change anyones heart about what God can do in someones life. She has power in her words and loves to share her experiences with anyone she meets. I love her laugh and the joy she gets from doing evangelism because that is a gift the Lord has blessed her with! I have truly loved going on adventures with her and seeing how she wants to bless every person that she meets and simply just laughing at all the fun things she says!
Rachel is a fearless women who has such joy about her being. I love her laugh and just how confident she is and who the Lord created her to be. I have enjoyed hearing her sing and all the countless laughs that we have had and I don’t think anyone loves to dance as much as her and the silence dance parties are the greatest thing to watch and even better to be a part of! I enjoy how kind her soul is and just simply the way that she loves all people. She is also one of the most intentional people I have ever met, and I cant wait to hear about her dance parties with her new team!
These are just a few things about all the girls on my old team and I just can not wait to see how they change and challenge their teams as much as they have to me. Thanks for loving me so well and just making these past 6 months amazing, Daughters of Peace/ Selah you will always be the team who is slightly dramatic but mainly fun!
