Sometimes you get home from ministry at 11:30 pm on a Friday night and have church the next day. Sometimes are informed right before you go to bed that someone needs to prepare a testimony and a sermon.

And sometimes you get told to be ready for church by 8 am, so you are, but your ride doesn’t show up until 9:30am without a phone call. So you start off with an iffy attitude, then it proceeds to be the hands down best day on the race.

I volunteered for the testimony because God has been doing some really cool things in my life this past week.
I talked about a time when we went on a treasure hunt for people. People God wanted us to talk to.
We got into groups of 2-3 people, sat down and prayed for 30 minutes and wrote everything down we saw or heard. Then we shared what we got from the Lord and then went out on the town to look for it.
We kept asking the Lord to lead us. Asking him if we should we turn left, right, or continue straight?
Every time I heard something from the Lord I would ask him to tell my teammates so I could get confirmation.
After awhile I was praying and the Lord was like, “Alyssa, why am I not enough? Why is hearing my voice not enough? Why are you searching for confirmation from flawed people when I am directly talking to you!?”
Okay, Jesus.

Isn’t he so right?! How often do we do this? I look for people to confirm something that the Lord told me when I know it is from him. I let my insecurities and fears get in the way of big things happening!
When I did listen to the Lord we were led to a lady that matched up to a T of what we were searching for! She owns a store that has a blue door to it, flags above it, oranges outside, she was wearing red pants, and she told us she had back pain! All of those random things were things Anna Beth, Amanda, and I saw in our quite time! If I wouldn’t have listen to what the Lord was telling me, we may have missed out on the opportunity to talk to that women.
Jesus wanted us to talk to her and we did, she didn’t get saved, but we planted a seed. If we didn’t follow his direction, that seed might not have been planted that day. We would have missed out on a God moment. I would have missed out on a testimony of God providing!

Jesus talks to all of us all we have to do is listen and answer. It may be something major, it might be something minor, but it will make a difference.
