It has such a different feel than last month. We are still in Malawi, but in a whole different city. Last month we were in Lilongwe and our main ministry was evangelism. This month we are in Blantyre and our ministry has been a variety of things. We have painted, preached, done some landscaping, visited the elderly, just to name a few.
I was bummed for a little bit. I had been planning on eleven countries in eleven months. But, that was not the plan God had. So now we are celebrating Malawi. Seeing what God still has for us here.
The other day we went and visited an elderly woman. Due to health issues she is unable to work. She loves the Lord and has taken in her three orphaned grandchildren. As we talked to her she asked us to pray for her. That she could get some blankets. Neither she, not the kids, have a blanket of any kind to sleep under on a cold night, or anything to sleep on top of, other than the dirt floor. My team and I are personally donating some money to buy blankets for this family. Please send me a message if you would like to help contribute and be a part of that.
The month is now more than half over, but I am excited to see how God continues to use us during this unplanned detour in Malawi.
