THE BASICS

I am 24 years old and I am currently a preschool teacher. I adore my students and I truly love doing what I do. I am currently pressuring a double degree in Political Science and Communications. I started of college thinking I was going into the medical field, but God totally flipped the script on me (if you ever want to hear that story, let’s grab coffee J). I am from a small town in North Carolina. I went to the University of Mississippi for exercise science and I’m a member of Alpha Delta Pi. I am currently the Philanthropy advisor at the NC State’s ADPi chapter and serve as the philanthropy chair for the Alumna Association.

How I got HERE!

I have always been in a leadership position. Growing up I was on the youth leadership team, president of clubs, and other things. Then as I reached high school, I knew God was calling me to camp. I went to camp as a GA in elementary school and always wanted to be a counselor. The three summers I worked at Camp Mundo Vista were some of the best moments and memories of my life. I truly felt God there. I met my three camp besties and we’ve continued to stay in each other’s lives.

The best part of camp was I discovered and learned about the World Race. One of the assistant directors was in the process of fundraising for it and I asked her about it. As soon as I learned what it was, I knew that this was something I could see myself doing. I started to pray about it and before too long, I knew God had placed a passion for this ministry on my heart. To be able to travel and share God’s word all over the world, was my biggest dream.

I graduated high school and left North Carolina to head to Mississippi to college. I had decided that once I graduated college that I would then go on the race. After all, you have to have a degree to do stuff like that. BOY WAS I WRONG. Over the last couple of years, God has been teaching me a lot of lessons. The biggest thing I have learned is that God will wreck your plans, when your plans are about to wreck you. So many times, I have had my plans for my life and what I thought was best for me.   BUT I WAS SO WRONG. God has perfectly orchestrated and shown me time and time again, that He knows what’s best for my life more than I do. I am so thankful for His love, provision, and guidance. I finally hit the point where I knew no matter the current situation of my life, that I needed to trust God and apply. So here I am, fully trusting God and doing this.

PRAYERS!!!

Prayers are always needed and so welcomed!!

  • Spiritual growth! This is going to be a LONG two years! From preparing to actually in the field. Pray that God prepares my heart, my squads’ hearts and all those we come in contact with!!!
