Hello, everyone. ๐
Well, it's been great being back in Michigan! This will be my first weekend being home (YAY!) and I am really looking forward to it!
I am still working on a blog about what I learned at training camp and about my new team, but I did want to do a quickie about my time in Chattanooga (for those of you who don't know, once my training camp was over in Atlanta, I went to my old home – Chattanooga, Tennessee – for a few days).
I stayed with my friend Stacy who I have known since sixth grade… nine years and counting! We had fun hanging out, catching up after not seeing each other for two years, working out (that's what happens when you have friends who are fitness coaches… haha!), taking photos (…and that's what happens when you have friends who are getting degrees in photography!) and planning stuff for her wedding that is coming up soon! Dun dun dun… we definitely had a blast, and it was great to finally meet her awesome fiancee… yes, he has my approval. And believe me, that's tough. ๐
I also got to spend a few hours with my friend Sannah, who I've also known for nine years! Yeah, baby! We had some fun "antique-ing", laughing at way old and embarrassing jokes, returning coffee twice (now THAT was awkward!), and catching up, as well.
Other than that, I got to remember. I spent some time reflecting on who I was when I lived in Tennessee compared to who I am now. I am proud to say that there is a HUGE difference, and not just because of the seven year time gap. It was refreshing to get a sense of, "Wow, God! Look at all the change you've brought in my life!" Now, I can only anticipate what the next season of life holds, but I am sure it will be just as wonderful as what has already been.
Have a wonderful day. ๐
Much love,
Alicia
