So, yesterday we traveled on a three hour bus ride to Thailand. We ate lunch at a “gas station” type of mini mart-ish. For lunch I enjoyed a bag a French fries that came with ketchup packets, some delicious ice cream, a sprite, and water all for the grand total of 57 bot. 30 bot is the equivalent of $1 USD. Would you believe it if I told you I only spent $2 on lunch yesterday?! Wow to me that’s a pretty good deal. Ministry is going great so far we teach English at our house in the morning. After lunch we go and do outreach at the slums. It’s amazing to me that $2 could buy my lunch yet back in America I couldn’t buy much at all for $2. It makes me sad to see the sweetest of all kids playing with nothing but each other. But to them it’s all they know. I’m not sure really at all where I’m going with this however I should interrupt and say that we don’t just border hop all the time to “eat out.” Our visas were soon to be expired so we went to Thailand only for the purpose of coming straight back to Cambodia for a new visa. The Lord has definitely been very faithful through it all. I don’t feel so far away anymore. This ministry is tough because we see the least of these, the poorest of the poor, the homeless and truly hopeless people which is heartbreaking. We see people who are only able to speak very few English words which is disappointing sometimes-a lot of the time. Thank y’all for your support through this journey please pray that they would understand why we are here. Please pray that God would stir their hearts to be more curious and that we could be used for His glory.
