Empty beds

Tears streaming down my face

As i stare at the ceiling wide awake

All i hear is the rumbling of the AC

No laughter, music or snoring

Right beside me

As i lie here all alone

With this white comforter

that reminds me of the one that i own

Reality hits

Im about to come home

This is how its going to feel

Without these people always around

Waking up to “good mornings”

And our “late night chats”

For the random dance parties

When we should be in bed

And talking about all the funny stories that happened

As they replay in our head

Not to mention the singing loudly

as we walk down the street

the embarrasing moments

and experiences we keep

So much love that can happen in one single place

With understanding, love

Patience and grace

Please pray for us, as we separate

Because life as we know

Is about to change

We cherish our time

over these next four days

Reflecting back on the memories

that we have made

A year full of hard times, good ones and everything in between

We fought through together,

No matter the team

Though we felt every single growing pain

We can look at the past,

and see how much we’ve changed

Thanks to God and these friendships that we have made

through living life together and keeping God our main thing

As i look around now

at these beds that are filled

I thank God for this opportunity to sleep closely to them

And to have enjoyed all the moments

Ill never forget.
