1. Favorite Memory: We went to worship and evangelize in a park one Saturday. To say it was out of my element is an understatement. I am not comfortable going up to random people in the first place, much less asking them if they know Jesus. However, God knows me so well. He allowed me to talk to a little seven year old girl and I was able to pray over her. Also, being able to go to Passion was incredible.
  2. Biggest Challenge: I initially really wanted to be placed in PopKids and spend most of my month with the children. However, I was placed in the sewing ministry. I had to get over my expectations and it ended up being an amazing experience.
  3. Worst Food: We were really blessed with food this month. For the most part we cook for ourselves and had access to a grocery store with anything we could want. However, pop (a cornmeal type substance) made at Popup for us and the learners is pretty darn bland on its own.
  4. Random WR Moment: Being ridiculously blessed by our contacts friends. They paid for us to have a day at a lion and rhino park and then took us to a lake for national brai day the next day where we all had 3 different kinds of meat (and it was fantastic!)
  5. What I’ll miss: Spending time with Agnes and the learners from the sewing room
  6. Ministry of the month: Helping with the sewing ministry. I built relationships with the women, helped them with their tasks, and continually prayed for them. We also visited several orphanages and were able to present a message at a school.
  7. Spiritual Lesson/Revelation: That God has given me freedom to be exactly who He created me to be. That I don't have to compare myself to anyone else.
  8. Prayer Requests: For the sewing ministry. Agnes, the facilitator has so much on her plate and really needs someone to serve alongside her. Also that they are able to find clients so the graduates are able to start their own businesses and better provide for their families.
