Hey everyone! My name is Abby Borland and I'm currently a student at Olivet Nazarene University finishing up my degree in political science. I'm from Peoria, IL and have lived there for my entire life (until I came to college). I'm so excited about the journey I'm about to take and I'm anxious to see how I change and grow throughout it.
Here are THE most important things you will ever need to know about me (by the way, this is probably the most important piece of literature you will ever read in your entire life):
1. I am smiling 90% of the time (it’s my favorite!)
2. I love to laugh (it’s also my favorite!)
3. Sarcasm. I use it liberally.
4. I’m really quiet until you get to know me.
5. It’s really hard to offend me.
6. I would rather freeze to death than be hot for even a little bit (sweating isn’t my favorite)
7. I probably have the most supportive parents anyone could ever ask for.
8. I guess my older sister is pretty cool as well, but I can't let her know that.
9. I LOVE to read!
10. My biggest goal in life is to impress God. I don’t want to end up standing in front of God at the end of my life and have Him say to me “I gave you so much more than you could ever hope for in your life, but you have so much of it left.” My goal is to use every bit of talent, love, wisdom, passion, and creativity that God has blessed me with. I want God to say to me, “Abby, you are empty because you gave it all away. “
11. Apparently, my name is great for nicknames =) (examples: Borly, Boris, Borlander, Aboris, Lil' Polk, Abbicus etc.)
12. I have some pretty awesome friends and I'm so blessed to have them in my life
13. I absolutely LOVE to watch movies. It's my favorite hang-out activity!
14. I love to play board games! The only two that I refuse to play are Monopoly and Banana-grams (mostly because I'm terrible at them)
15. I like making other people happy =)
