There
has been countless times over these past three months where I have felt a
hundred miles from heaven and times where I have felt heaven closing in around
me. The more I dissect those times that my heart, soul, body feels captivated by God’s Glory the more I realize a
lot of it is determined by the attitude of my heart. Since then my prayer has been, “Lord I want a stronger heart
for you, how can I receive it?”
I
then began to hear the Lord tell me, “make it beat out of your chest.” There is so much truth in those
words. The more I exhaust my heart
the stronger my heart is going to become. The more heaven is going to surround me. The more of my day that is spent going and living my life
for Christ, the more my spiritual heart beats stronger.
Over these past three months there have
been moments that have shaped my heart most for God. They are heart aching, heart-breaking moments that have made
me more large-hearted and have brought me closer to heaven.
Transformation and
molding of my heart happened through times like this:
Holding
a six-month old that was malnourished abandoned and never swaddled.
Met
a group of teenage boys who eat, slept and breathed death on their life and saw
the first steps of cooperation.
Met
a man that was stripped of everything in his life but still courageously served
the Lord with his life.
From
the Lords voice challenged others to live and life will happen.
Worshipped
with a six-year old for an hour and grasped a little more of God’s passion for
children.
Having
people who have less than me share their food and possessions with me.
I can only tell you what I have experienced. When your heart begins to feel like
there is so much between you and heaven then give your heart away. Let God grow your heart!
