Hey friends!!
I know it’s been a while and I do apologize for not keeping you updated with everything. I’m learning that it’s kind of difficult to find good wifi in other countries, therefore it’s hard to get on the internet but I have some now and I wanna share what’s been going on!
For starters, I am in Ecuador!! We have been here for about 7 weeks now and time is flying. For the first month, my squad was staying in the mountains, helping out at a home that is going to be for girls rescued from sex trafficking. We spent time cleaning up debri around the property, laying pavers in the road, painting the inside of the house, and basically just getting everything as nice as possible for the girls that will be living there. The place we stayed had some of the most beautiful landscape I’ve ever seen and it looked like it was straight out of a painting. I remember just being in awe when we first got there because it was so breathtaking.
When our time in the mountains was finished, we moved into a house here in Quito. We are staying with an amazing married couple who are expecting a baby soon!! Since we have been down here, I have been helping out at a ministry called Pan de Vida. The organization is truly amazing and I will try my best to explain it. Basically, they help people get back on their feet and they provide them with things/skills they might need. Every Wednesday and Sunday, they have feeding programs where people can just have a place to come and enjoy a meal. The staff and volunteers at Pan de Vida make sure to show people Jesus and just love them as well as they can. I absolutely love doing ministry here. Some days we greet people as they come in the gate, we help out with the kiddos that come in, and also we help out in the kitchen. It’s just really fun and I will definitely miss it when we have to say goodbye in a month.
That’s about all I have time to say right now, but I will be posting again soon!
I really appreciate all of the love and support I have received over the past 8 months. I wouldn’t be here without you and some days are really difficult so it means a lot knowing I have people who support me. Thank you for everything and also thanks for reading! Have a great day. 🙂
