on Tuesday, my team went with two of our hosts to this hill/small mountain. once we got there we were told that when our host pastor and his wife first came to cambodia and the church hadn’t been started yet, that they came to this mountain to pray for this nation, for Siem Reap, for the people, and for their ministry/church.

we were told told that every time they have a group of volunteers/missionaries they take them there to pray over the nation, to speak truth and life over the city, to ask God what He’s doing and to ask Him how we can be a part of it.

tuesday I had the opportunity to do just that. we hiked up this stair case (after I just did a leg workout…that was fun) and eventually made it to the top. (I make it sound like it was the worst set of stairs ever, I promise it wasn’t at all but just remember that there are more stairs than pictured)

when we got to the top we were overlooking the city of Siem Reap, a village and a bunch of farmland. we all took a seat and started to pray and declare things over this place. the Lord told me “allyson, I promise you that your work is not in vain. I promise you that one day this country will be a nation under God,” and I thought that was incredible. God keeps His promises y’all and He promised that to me!!!

Cambodia is primarily a Buddhist country (right now but not for long, thanks God!!). over 95% of the population is Buddhist and only around 1% of the people are Christians. when we had ministry in the village, there was a family who accepted Christ— a WHOLE family!!! one day soon, those numbers will be reversed and this whole nation will know Him!

God promised me that Cambodia will soon be a nation under God and God doesn’t break His promises!!

Will you join me in praying for this country?

Heavenly Father, thank you for this nation and for our brothers and sisters that live here. Thank you that You never break Your promises to us and that this country will one day know You as their one true God. I pray for open hearts and open minds to be receptive to Your Word. I pray for eyes to be opened to see Christ in us and in all of Creation. I pray that seeds will continue to be planted and that the harvest will bear much fruit. I declare salvation over salvation for the people in this nation— family after family, village after village, city after city. I pray that You continue to give the Christians in this country the endurance, strength and courage to lead people to You. I pray against spiritual warfare in this country. The devil has no place in our hearts, souls, minds or in this country. I pray all of this in the Mighty Name of Jesus, amen.
