This month, my team and I had been serving in the beautiful country of Moldova. When riding on our 40 hour bus ride between Albania and Moldova, I felt like God impressed up me that this month would be a blessing. In a matter of a few days, I can't express to you just how true that has been.
Our host Mihail and his wife Gallina and his three children have graciously invited us in to be a part of their ministry. Mihail serves as the pastor of a small church here in Singeri as well as leads a church planting ministry in a nearby poverty-stricken village. In addition to his pastoral duties, Mihail owns and operates a children's camp that runs through the summer.
It is so evident that God is moving in this place. A place that before the race, I didn't even know existed. People in Moldova are hungry to know the Lord. Just in the first weekend, four people in Mihail's church accepted Christ. One 65 year old woman came up to the front of the church weeping following the sermon. You could tell she was deeply moved and was then lead to Christ in front of the whole church. It was amazing to see the encouragement of the believers around her, each taking time to pray for her.
It seems as though since the moment we arrived in Moldova we have had continual blessings poured out on us. Every time we would thank our hosts for the ways they blessed us, they would immediately point to God for his provision. One of the most inspiring things to hear was how the Lord had provided constantly for Mihail and his family. The people we met were literally trusting God to provide for their daily needs. We listened to story after story of the way God provided when all seemed to be falling apart.
With this next deadline approaching in a few short days, I can't help but feel a bit anxious about the Lord providing for me. This past month has been a continual lesson in trusting the Lord no matter the outcome. Whether the money comes in or does not, I have been learning to trust the Lord and his plan for my life.
I still need $2300 to stay on the World Race, and I only have 4 days to meet that goal. If you would like to give you can do so by clicking the "Support Me!" tab to the left. Any amount will make a huge difference in helping me to obtain that goal.
