This is a list of things ‘I didn’t know’:
I didn’t know…
- that saying goodbye would be so hard.
Mi amigo Carlos!
- that observing ‘The Day of the Dead’ could hurt.
- that a four-year-old’s hug and kiss goodbye could wrench my heart.
- that Kevin saying ‘take me with you’ could shatter my heart the way it did.
Kevin in his Guatemala jacket.
- that I would listen to Gnarls Barkley in Guatemala.
- that Jonathan, Josiah and Kevin would allow me to play Halo Reach…ridiculously fun!!
- that prayer and worship at the cross at sunset is intensely beautiful!
I didn’t know these things would occur, yet so many more along the way
this month. It is tough to say goodbye and I can assure you I did not
expect that at all! These days and weeks truly have gone by in a blur.
On Wednesday, 4:00 a.m., we leave for El Horno, Honduras…please pray
for safe travels and strength. I love you all with the passion of
Father! Peace!
My next blog will be from Honduras…we will only have internet once a
week, so it will be more spread out on my blogs or there will be more at
one time. Love you!
