'By your powers combined…'

So, as we were praying this morning over one of the schools, I walked around the perimeter of the grounds seven times just praying and then a final, eighth, time letting some water pour out of my bottle in order to seal our prayers and wash the school with Christ's living water. Then, God brought up part of our team's Valentine's night out.

You see, we started talking about superheroes and powers (Dex is looking into a scholarship involving this) and well Captain Planet was brought up. I mentioned that I always wanted to be the kid (Ma-Ti) that says 'Heart'. I wasn't really sure why; maybe part of me wanted to be that tan (since he's from South America) or something growing up. Well, God gave me some insight into this as I continued praying.

    Earth.

        Fire.

            Wind.

                Water.

                    Heart.

Four natural elements and then one that seems out of place. Most people I talk to want to be one of the first four. I like 'Heart' though.

So, as God was speaking to me about this, He brought up what 'Heart' actually entails. 'Heart' allows for one to speak to the inner spirit of animals and move them to help in situations or to warn them of danger. In a sense, you can hear the heartbeat of the nature around you.

This thought brought up C.S. Lewis' 'The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe' (go figure right) where Lucy who has entered Narnia and experienced seeing all these wonders of this realm learns that the spirits of the trees have been stagnant and asleep. So what does she do? She calls to them (prays), to their deepness of souls and awakens them again. She uses 'Heart' to bring back to life the strength of the forests.

Wow! A lot to take in I know, but bare with me.

               Back to Captain Planet…

The five kids who become 'Planeteers' are from all over the world and yet are capable of coming together (community) and fight for others through prayer. Ok probably lost you with that part, but think about it…five individuals come together say a word and BAM a Savior comes. It is what we as believers are to do–we come together in unison, say words, and let our Savior come down to the rescue; hence, why Scripture says, "Where two or more are gathered in my name, there I am also!"
    Awesome!

So, through Ma-Ti's 'Heart', which isn't the last one added on accident, comes the rescue of the land.

 Earth.

                    Heart.
