Yo!

Welcome. On the Wall Series is something that has been put on my heart to create, so that you might have the chance to understand a little bit more about the community I’ll be living in for the next 9 months. My vision is to give you a little bit more insider information when it comes to my team specifically. So, I will be introducing each teammate individually with each blog and I’ll brag a little about them from my perspective, based on what I’ve learned in our living together for the past 3 weeks. Then, you will have the chance to hear a little bit from them on what they bring to our team.

So, ladies and gentlemen, without further ado, I am pleased to introduce our first member of Team Ecclesia,

Alexander Katz.

Alex is 18, from Hillsboro, Missouri.

Alex is a man of honesty. He speaks clearly, and every single word he says is carefully thought out so that he can communicate as effectively as possible. He balances seriousness with lightheartedness, and always engages the person he talks to with purpose and boldness. He is a man of respect, walking in honor toward everyone he crosses paths with. He will always buy you a snack if he goes to the vending machines, and in everything he does, he gives glory to the Father. His hunger for the Word is so encouraging, and the knowledge this brother of mine has about nature blows me away every time. Need to know what kind of scorpion is in your tent? What kind of ant is crawling on your face? Alex is the guy to go to. He invites people into new ways of thinking, and his perspective is so important in the growth of our team.

Watching him grow in confidence around us has been a privilege. Last week during squad church,  he had brought a pancake from that day’s breakfast in his (shirt) pocket to keep him company while he spoke. Halfway through his testimony, he put it back because “It needs syrup”. Now known as a pocket pancake, Alex continually creates new ways to invite people into the safe atmosphere of the Father.

What do you, in your own words, uniquely bring to this team?
