Today, November 29th, we are celebrating Thanksgiving! Yesterday was our last day of ministry, so we pushed back our celebration to today instead. Because Thanksgiving is not a holiday here in South Africa, it’s not celebrated. But what happens when you get a house full of 25+ Americans in South Africa??? A Thanksgiving feast haha. I thought that since we are celebrating today, I’d share what the Lord has been blessing me with lately!
THANK YOU JESUS FOR:
-amazing ministry hosts who let us cook lots of food and celebrate Thanksgiving!!!
-my team (Maggie, Hannah, Julia, Karson, Sarah, and Grace)
-putting such beauty in this world (Everywhere I look here in South Africa, I see how beautiful God made this Earth)
-giving me the opportunity to serve and share You with the world
-the facetime call I had with my family last night, even Bentley and Bella :-))
-providing a bed for the first country we’ve been in
-Beats and Books (the ministry we’ve had for the past two months. Blog explaining it is coming soon!!)
-constant laughter with those around me
-allowing me to freely love and worship You
-a reliable source of healthy, drinkable water in our first country
-keeping me healthy these first 3 months on the race
-each and every one of those who have donated or helped me get to do the race (I would not be sitting here in SA writing this blog without y’all. I seriously love and appreciate you so very much)
-every single child that I met and formed a relationship with at Beats and Books
-pb and js (quite a common, but favorite meal on the race)
-the moments when Your presence is so strong, any ounce of doubt disappears
-LOVE
-the intimate moments I get to spend with You every morning
-blessing me with a family who loves me
I could make the list a thousand times longer, but these are the blessings that I feel the Lord has really emphasized in my life lately. Thank y’all so much for reading. I hope each of you had an incredible Thanksgiving! God bless <3
