So we finally started evangelism last week! I have loved every second of it! Just sitting in Holy Spirit all the time, tuning into what he has to say and then following through!
Holy Spirit is my best friend! Especially on this trip! I have been learning so much about Him and myself through him. He is just so good to me and I love getting to talk to him all the time! So evangelism has been a high honor!
Now to the story you’re all here to read!
My team and I were separated into smaller groups of 3-4 people each. My small group of four went out and started listening to what God had for us and those around us. As we explored, we walked past this man, said hello, and just kept on walking. We came across this play ground and three of us all said at the same time that we needed to pray over it. So we did for 15-20 minutes or so. We grouped back up after praying over the play ground and my teammate Bailey had the feeling we should go back and talk to the man we had just previously past.
We approach the man and introduce ourselves and ask him his name. We start talking and he goes on to invite us into his home. We sit together and just talk. (I am translating everything by the way, this man does not speak English) I then asked him if there was anything we could pray for. He answers our questions by introducing his mother to us. So we talk to her for a little while and ask her if there’s anything we can pray for. She then explains that she can’t take full breaths. She can’t breath at night without very expensive equipment, that they can’t afford, helping her to breath. And she also said that her back, neck, and shoulders have been in so much pain for years that she cannot lift her arms up any higher than her hands to her hips. So we begin to pray for her, all four of us praying together letting God’s healing just fall upon her. When we finished I asked her how she felt and she nothing changed. So feeling discouraged, we just left the house and never went back…………
JUST KIDDING! Heck no we didn’t do that! We prayed again!!!
Feeling even more confident than the first time I pray again with my team and I started to call down a fire of healing over her chest and neck. We all were laying our hands on her and asking God to heal her right then and there!! We finished and I asked her how she felt and just threw her hands way up in the air and praised Jesus for healing her! She gave me the biggest hug, and kisses my check, thanking me and my team! And I then asked her to try her breathing and she took a deep breath with no issues and no pain!!
JESUS IS SO GOOD!! It’s these moments I feel excited to see what ideas God has next for us! WHERE will he use me? HOW will he use me? It’s these questions that get me so pumped up for Jesus!
I also want anyone who reads this to ask themselves those questions because he is just waiting for you to be ready for him! He’s so excited to use you for his glory! And he wants you to share these moments with him and those around you!
Jesus I want to pray over every person reading my story today. Give them the readiness they may be looking for. Give them the authority they might be searching for. Give them the confidence they have yet to experience! In the mighty MIGHTY name of Jesus I declare each of these things over you! He loves you more than you’ll ever comprehend and he wants to share his most precious moments with you!
