Broken. The word that best described me. Before Jesus stepped in. Without Jesus, I would be nothing. I owe my life to Him. This is my journey.

I basically grew up in church but just went through the motions. I knew Jesus, but I did not have a relationship with him. When I graduated high school I decided that I could do life by myself. Boy was I wrong. I survived about two years at college before I called my mom and told her that I couldn’t do it anymore. She came and packed all my stuff and I moved back home as an almost 20-year-old. I began to run fast and far away from God. I had absolutely nothing. Until one morning in early February of 2017, the Lord woke me from my sleep and the weight on my heart was heavy. Everything I had ever searched for was right in front of me and all I had to do was ask Him for it. So I surrendered my life to the Lord and decided His plan for my life was way better than anything I could ever think of.

I started a job at a daycare a few months later, where I still work. This new job came with many new opportunities which included moving to a new city and starting over. This was it. No one really knew me. I could make new friends. I could make a new life. And I did. This past year has been life-changing. The Lord has spoken to me in so many ways and truly revealed His plan for me. So with that being said, in January I will be traveling to Africa to share the love of Christ with some amazing people. I remember when this was just a dream I had, but it is amazing how much the Lord works when you give Him your life. My team and I will be traveling through Zimbabwe, South Africa, and Zambia for three months. We will work in orphanages, schools, squatter camps, and something like nursing homes. Most importantly we will get to do everyday life with these amazing people loving them as Jesus has loved us.

I am super excited about this journey and can not wait to see how the Lord uses me through this next season of life. Over the next few months, my team and I could use as many prayers as we can get as we prepare for this journey. If you would like to partner with me on this journey, you can donate at the top of this page. I am so thankful for each and every one of you reading this. I love you all.

If you want to know anything else please message me as I would love to share this journey with you!

Until next time,

Ellen
