I was prompted to write a blog about my favorite picture from a country that I’ve been to on the race. I decided to choose a photo from Cambodia, because there’s no country like your current country, am I right?

SO, this is just a short blog explaining the photo you see above!

The group of people in the picture is a mixture of people from my squad, my ministry hosts, and youth from either the church or from local high schools. This was taken after our “Youth Jam”, which is an event the church throws every month. They invite young adults from around the city to come play games, eat food, and hear about Jesus! It was such a fun night.

My team hadn’t been doing ministry in the city during our first month here, so we didn’t know a lot of the people that came to join our youth jam night. But after playing goofy ice breaker games, eating snacks, and witnessing Team Tribe perform an incredible dance, we had laughed together too much not to be friends! It’s always a fun experience trying to make friends with an extreme language barrier. That’s another thing — students in all the countries I’ve been to are so good at english! It’s inspiring to see them put so much time and effort into learning a new language.

So yeah! I don’t know if this is my faaaaavorite picture taken so far in Cambodia, but I sure do love it a lot. To me, it represents what this church stands for, which is bringing people together and sharing the gospel. I love being a part of what Ronald, Cynthia, Gette, Jonathan, and the rest of Victory Church are doing here in Cambodia.
