hey! here’s a blog about me by my sweet precious loving radiant team mate (and team leader) Lindsey!!! also known as Lindzer, lindzeroni, and many more obscure names. I love her. this is what she had to say about me! thanks for loving me so good Lindz <3
My heart has always longed for relationships centered around Christ, ones that would push me and challenge me and leave me changed and looking more like Jesus. It brings me to tears to think about the answered prayer Paige has been to me. I’m so so thankful for the gift that she is.
The Paige I know now compared to the Paige I met at training camp back in July is drastically, beautifully different. The way she has so fearlessly, wholeheartedly pursued Jesus since being on the Race is one of the most inspiring things about her. The change God has done within her is evident to anyone who knows her and it pushes me forth. She carries a boldness and courage that challenges me everyday. Being someone who’s hesitant and very much afraid to step out in any situation, I am always learning from the way Paige steps out of the boat and takes the risks and confidently walks right in to where God is calling her. Being around her always spurs me on toward a boldness in Christ that I’ve always dreamed of and prayed for. What’s so comforting and sweet is knowing that what I prayed for over a year ago now, that God would teach me to be brave, is coming to pass—He’s doing just that through my friendship with Paige! Paige, my beautiful, extraordinary, life-changing answer to prayer!
Knowing Paige has been one of my favorite things about the Race. Our friendship has challenged me in more ways than I’ve ever experienced before, and I feel as though I’m experiencing the kind of friendship God had in mind for us all along. God has clearly gifted Paige in her ability to befriend anyone, anytime, anywhere. What’s beautiful about her is that she’s been so changed and transformed by Jesus’ love for her that she now overflows with love and friendship toward all who are around her. She teaches me everyday what it means to be a friend, to be a neighbor, to embrace people and welcome them in and make them feel seen and known. The light and love she brings to every environment she’s in always leaves people better than she found them, and the joy of the Lord she embodies so beautifully is so contagious! She has a way of ushering in the love and joy of Christ to others just with something as simple as her smile. I love her so much, and I’m so thankful for the great joy and laughter she brings me every single day!
Our team has been reading through 1 Thessalonians together the moment I read verse 8 in the second chapter, I thought of Paige. “We loved you so much that we shared with you not only God’s Good News but our own lives, too.” This embodies who Paige has been to not only me but so many on the Race, in Costa Rica, here in South Africa, and without a doubt in Thailand and Myanmar. She’s taught me a lot about what it really means to bring the Gospel to the nations, that, in may ways, it simply means being a friend to someone, being Jesus to them, loving them where they are at, and showing them in the way she loves that God is not a distant bystander, nor a disappointed, angry ruler; He is all things kind and compassionate and gracious. And I believe that this way of love, of actually showing Jesus to people, is what will truly make a difference, what will open up the hearts of people in need of a Savior. Paige has shown me a whole lot about what it means to love and share life with people, and it changes the way I see life and people! Something she always says is that she has decided to go through life in the posture that everyone is her friend. I’m inspired, and I think we can all be too. Words could never describe just how much Paige means to me and how much she has changed my life! God is doing incredible things in and through her and it’s truly a privilege to get to cheer her on from the sidelines! I LOVE YOU PAIGE!!!!!
