This is my friend Jacob Lewe. He is pretty awesome (and funny) and I have had the pleasure of getting to know him the last 7 months. I read this on his Facebook today while he sat across from me in a coffee shop. After I got done I immediately started asking for more details in my amazement. This story is such a cool testimony of how the Lord can use any of us. We are not too small to share God’s love for us. It reminded me so much of how Jesus was found as a child sharing with the religious leaders, to the amazement of those who found him. Of course I had to ask if I could share what he had written with you all because I think it is an important reminder and a crazy cool testimony of how Jesus will move in our life if we let him.

“By God’s grace I went up on this stage a nervous wreck, I scanned the room and saw what seemed like a sea of people. I looked up to the ceiling and said “God I don’t know what I’m doing, you’re gonna need to show up.”
3 hours before this, I thought I was just invited by my monk friend, Tola, to come to an event to observe and listen on how different religions can come together to create peace. I went in with this mindset that I was just a guest and didn’t need to play a part in the discussion.

Little did I know, I would be invited by the Religious Leaders to speak in front of the whole event filled with Buddhist, Muslims, Hindus, and Catholics to share how Christians can play a part in creating peace.
I gripped the mic and felt an overwhelming sense to share the gospel. I prayed one more time and just started to share about God’s UNCONDITIONAL love. I shared about the hope found in Jesus. I shared about our call as people to carry the same UNCONDITIONAL love that God gives us. And how once we do that, we can create peace.

While I was speaking, I began to look out as people looked mesmerized, even a little confused at the type of radical and reckless love that our God has for us. I looked out as God’s spirit was moving through everyone in the room. I knew at that moment that God was working in everyone’s heart.

Afterwards, a Buddhist monk came up to me and said “there is something so powerful in what you say, you speak from your heart and from your God.”
I say all of this to say that you don’t need to be the most articulate, knowledgeable, or wise person to make an impact in the kingdom, you just have to be willing. I mean look at me! I’m just an 18 year kid from Virginia who knows little about world religions. But when we trust God, HE WILL SHOW UP.

I am so thankful that I get to be a seed thrower in the kingdom. I hope everyday for the rest of my life I can sow seeds and let God bring the harvest.

Also thank you to everyone at the event that made this happen. My heart is so happy!” -Jacob Lewe

So yeh! Go out there and bring Kingdom to earth! God will prompt you in moments you think you have no words. He will push you in moments when it seems terrifying to share. He will grow you in situations that seem bigger than your capabilities. Jesus was just a child laying in a dirty barn. He was just a carpenter. He was just a child when he was brought before the religious leaders to speak, similar to Jacob here. Every time you think “I am just…” think of how Jesus was “just”. But you are so much more because you are a Child of the King. Known intimately by the Creator. He is your loving Father who wants His children to succeed and will show up EVERY SINGLE TIME.
