Growing up the one phase that I heard the most often was “if you dream it then your dreams will come true” or “Go and chase your dreams”, and as a kid I firmly believed in those statements so much so that my dream growing up was to become the first female MLB player in a skill position, which for me was 1st base.
Needless to say that didn’t happen, but other dreams that I had did come true, and those dreams were to get my degree in History, and go to work for the National Park service, but like many dreams even that one too was short lived, and I started to believe that having a dream was for chumps, and I quit on my dreams.
But little did I understand that those dreams were just flesh dreams, and that there was a bigger and better dreams for me that I didn’t even know were possible all because I never knew about that kind of dream.

Flash forward to Month 8 debrief in Burcharest Romania as this was where I learned about a different kind of dreams thanks to my squadmate EmJay, and those dreams are called Kingdom Dreams.
Now this was a term that I had never heard before in my life until coming on the World Race, and a Kingdom dream is defined by this:
A dream that sets your soul on fire, passion in our veins because it is given to us by the authority of God, no matter how big or stupid it may be or sound.
So here are my Kingdom Dreams:
Short term: Go to Seminary school and get my Mdiv in order to become a associate pastor at an established church with the eventual goal of becoming a head pastor in a very missional focus church that also has a strong youth program as that was something that was very important in my journey as a youth in HS.
Long term: Either stay at an established chruch or go off and found my own church with my church being very missional based especially in the long term mission field, and well as have a youth leadership/discipleship program as well, and invite some of my old squadmates to come and speak at my church on mission topics.
Ultimate Dream: To establish a Protestant Church in Novi Pazar, Serbia
Other Kingdom Dreams: Write a best selling book about my World Race journey called “Kingdom & Community”, and have the movie rights picked up by the Hallmark Channel to be turned into a 12 part made for TV movie, and all the while maintaining the creative vision especially when it comes to who to cast to play my squadmates as I have very high criteria about how they should be casted. With all the money being donated to organizations that I served with while on the World Race as well as organizations that I have served with my church in Detroit as well as my own mission causes that I may be serving with as well.
