I have always imagined myself with a countless variety of occupations for my future self. An author just so happened to be one of them; and why? coincidentally was the title I envisioned. Here is a sneak peek of my (maybe) future book, just for you guys. Reader’s discretion is advised – I was never actually sure of what I was going to write about, until just now.
Things in this life happen (good, or bad, or even completely awful) and the majority of us, human beings, find ourselves asking “why?” For some of the generic inhabitants of this earth, it may be more of a complaint like “why me!” For others who do not yet know God, it might be confusion, feeling lost in this world with no hope and all you can think to yourself is “why?”
I am not here to tell you that I know the reasons for everything that happens; rest assured, I do not. I probably do not know the answers to the majority of questions you might have. However, I know a God Who does. Our God is greater than any problem you might be facing. I know that the Name of Jesus is above every other.
Philippians 2:9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
That means that every disease, addiction, pain, trouble, and fear in your life right now, must bow at the mighty and powerful Name of Jesus. So, basically I do not know “why.” But I am writing to tell you that as Christians, we have this hope in Christ Jesus that is eternal and perfectly complete. Our only Hope that makes this life truly worth living.
