Embrace the uncomfortable.
This statement reminds me of the ocean. When you look at the full picture of it, it looks beautiful. Then you think about going in the water and all that lives within it, it can be a little intimidating. Anyone else thinking about jellyfish, stingrays and SHARKS right now?!?
Fear can easily come in thinking about all that could or could not happen. If you let the fear consume you then you won’t be able to fully embrace the Freedom of being in the ocean. Once you embrace the uncomfortable and allow yourself to go deep into the water, what is waiting for you is inexpressible joy and love for Gods creation.
The same is true for our lives, and for our callings. God has called us to embrace the uncomfortable, to let His perfect love cast out all fear and to embark on the journey and gifts that He has along the way. What may be uncomfortable for some may not be uncomfortable for others; but its in that time that we are being stretched by God and people are able to encounter Him in a whole new way.
Our reputation does NOT matter, because its not about us.
It is and will always be about His LOVE, POWER and PRESENCE being exemplified for every person we come in contact with.
God spoke to my heart a few months ago through a word in Romans. It says “God brings the dead to life, He makes a new thing out of nothing” He showed me that I was in a season of “dying”. That in order for me to embrace the new, I had to die to everything that I know. Every fear that has controlled me, things I’ve held on to, doubt in myself, insecurity, shame, everything I’m used to, my job etc. So that he can wipe the slate clean and give me something new. It has been a whirlwind of emotions, a lot of sadness and tears along the way.
In order for me to grow and get to the next place God is calling me to, I had to embrace this season no matter how uncomfortable and painful it has been.
Gods plan is perfect, even when we don’t see it or understand.
What is God calling you to do that is uncomfortable? Whatever it is, embrace it because HE promises that His plans are for the good and the people who are impacted along the way makes it worth it. What you do everyday, matters.
If you haven’t experienced Gods love for you, I believe that God is calling you to go deep into the ocean of His love. Open up your heart, even if it is a little intimidating and you don’t fully understand or know how to. Ask Him to show you himself, I promise you it will change your life forever. You were created to be LOVED by God, and He is so in love with you, He desires to have a real intimate relationship with you. He won’t stop pursuing you regardless of how hard you push Him away or try to ignore Him. It is your decision though to let Jesus in and to walk into a relationship with Him. I promise you this, it is WORTH IT. What are you waiting for?
