I have been diagnosed by a series of online quizzes as an introvert and I would agree with that. I enjoy being alone and if I don’t have those quiet times by myself (and God and coffee) then I become worn out! The thing is people are so cool and if we live life confined by what personality type we are then we will miss out on the family that God will place in your life through fellowship. Recently I met a group of friends that love each other like brothers and sisters and it is one of the most beautiful pictures of the church. It was crazy to me how fast they welcome others to join in and belonged. That is what the people of God are called to do, we’re called to love anyone and everyone who comes to us. Our worship alone is when we connect intimately with God but our worship when we are with other believers is also powerful. Whether you are singing praises to God or painting or just sitting in silence it is really neat to see how God brings His people together.

15 And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. 17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

                   -Colossians 3:15-17

Humans were created with a longing to be a part of something, a family, a group of friends, a movement, the list goes on. We want to find a sense of belonging and I believe that desire was placed in us by God. He wants us to belong to Him and to believe and trust in Him. His desire for us is powerful, he pulls us to him with a force stronger than the moon pulls the waters of the ocean. Sometimes I forget the power of Jesus’ death and resurrection here’s a reminder for me and you.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that world might be saves through him”

                   -John 3:16-17

The creator of the moon and the stars, the God of the entire universe and anything else ever created wants to have a relationship with us, he wants us to know Him intimately. I don’t know about you but sometimes I hear that and have thoughts like “there’s no way God could love me” if you’ve ever struggled with your value you stop believing the voice in your head that tells you that you aren’t worth it. God’s truth tells me otherwise his truth, whether you believe it or not, is the truth. I’m praying for you if you believe in this, that you will love other people out of the love that Jesus loves you with, and that you love not just in words or good thoughts but that you would be able to walk and live with boldness and confidence in His love and walk in faith. If you are unsure of what you believe then I’m praying for you to desire and seek God. He is not far from you and He wants to know you! I pray all of this in Jesus’ name and the purpose of this blog is for you to know God better through these words. They’re just words and I’m not a professional writer but truth is truth! Thanks for reading this and for your support and prayers for my next season of life
