Pray BIG Prayers:
$1,370 in one week.
Since being on the World Race God has shown up in so many ways I don’t know why it still surprises me!
Before I got to Cambodia I committed myself to pray every morning when I got up. One of the team leaders challenged us before we left Vietnam to do it and prayer is something I really want to grow in so I said yes! Yes to waking up earlier and starting my morning the best way possible.
When we were in Vietnam I had a one on one with one of my leaders and told her I was struggling with fundraising. The money wasn’t really coming in, my posts weren’t generating a lot of buzz and all of my teammates were seeing money come in like no ones business!
I was happy for them but I was also jealous. Amanda, my squad leader, asked if I had consistently prayed about it. The answer was no. I trusted fully that God would provide the funds but I’m finding out it was more out of laziness.
So I just wanted to show you what happened when I started praying on a consistent basis for fundraising.
We haven’t had wifi since getting to Cambodia, so I haven’t been on social media or texting anyone asking them to donate. My team and I have been giving our blogs to one of our wonderful leaders and she has been posting them for us. Only one of these donations came from me messaging someone prior to getting to Cambodia.
I started praying about fundraising and two people I have never met messaged me on Instagram messaged me wondering how they could donate.
Only God.
Friday (4/7) I started my commitment of praying in the mornings in Cambodia.
Here is the list of donations on what day and how much.
$100 – Thursday (4/6)
$75 – Friday (4/7)
$5 – Monday (4/10)
$1,000 – Monday (4/10)
$40 – Tuesday (4/11)
$150 – Wednesday (4/12)
Everyday minus the weekend I have received a donation. $1,370 raised in just 7 days. 5 different people.
How amazing is that!!
Thank you to everyone who allowed God to work through them. I am yet again, blow away.
and drum roll please…. that means that I only have $197 left to raise by April 30th. WOOOOHOOO!
